Richly Strange
Richly Strange features the original handmade sculptures of artist Christina Amato. Her work is inspired by dark fairytales, historical curios such as memento mori, and Medieval and Victorian imagery.
(Featured) Crafted from marble dust and tears. These wall-hanging sculptures are inspired by Victorian Lover’s Eye pendants. No two are the same. Each has a glass or moonstone tear, and is set on a backing of silk velvet. A limited number have been made with antique glass German eyeballs.
(Featured) Our forest creature pins are sculpted from clay, and then cast with marble dust, resin, and pigments such as iron oxide. Eyeballs are semi-precious stones, such as Onyx and Garnet. Each one is unique.
(Featured) You’ve given peace a chance. Why not try chaos.
This sculpture is meticulously crafted with hand cut brass rods, Densite plaster, and iridescent paint. It has just the right amount of metallic shine to bring a gallery wall from basic to inspired.
