Dead Leaf Designs
Dead Leaf Designs is an ongoing insect taxidermy project by Adam Inzalaco. He aims to create atmospheric displays that elegantly showcase high quality genuine insect specimens.
First image: From the Funeral Collection, this display houses a massive Golden Silk Orb weaver that is mounted on a handmade coffin-shaped embellishment. The embellishment is crowned with 5 coffin nails which served as the main source of inspiration for this collection.
Second Image: A display inspired by the interior of a friend’s recording studio, a White Witch Moth is mounted over a cathedral window and a handmade wooden lattice which is encompass by 18th century hand-cut nails that were harvested from the front door of the studio that inspired this work.
Third Image: An all black display surrounded by moody and atmospheric ephemera. This image best depicts my typical line of work, an aesthetic and composition that will be seen most often from piece to piece.

The 2025 Salem Yule Marketplace will be held on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14 in Old Town Hall in Salem, from 11-6, and is a free, 14+ show!
